Soft Wash Your Home

Don't let anyone beat your house or deck with a high pressure water stream. The gray stuff on your house and deck is mildew. Kill mildew with bleach, then just rinse it off.

The reason cleaning with bleach doesn't work is because the solution is not strong enough. It isn't strong enough because the equipment used to mix in the bleach and project it to the house is inadequate.

Unless you plan to wash your home every year for the next fifteen years, buying equipment that will do the job is a bad investment. If the guy you've been hiring to wash your house, can't wash it with bleach and soap, call me, I'll do it.

I call the green stuff above algae, when it's gray I call it mildew.

The orange on the siding above the pipes is from either hard water or fertilizer. You'll see this on driveways and   sidewalks too. Either way, I get it off.

Here are a couple pictures of my roof washing. This is  what I mean about projecting a strong enough solution to kill the mildew.

I won't wash a roof without gutters. And I won't climb. That's why I had to put together a system that will project the solution.

Unless you want to change color, or cover exposed wood, you don't need to paint. If your home is gray, that is mildew that can be washed away. But don't let someone blast the mildew off or they'll knock some paint off also. Let me Soft-Wash it for you. You'll be amazed how clean you house will be.

Below is a washing on a home for sale. How much is a new looking roof worth?

You can see a little bit of a shadow in the picture above. While I tell clients I get to 95% of a new appearance, the roof above is still a little wet. It may have dried perfectly, I haven't been back since washing it. I did get a nice letter from the homeowner.

Never stepped on the roof for this white house.

I did walk the roof on the ranch above. The ranch was an old roof with newer shingles here and there. It didn't look new after washing, but it didn't look like it needed replacement either.

Too many times I see people replacing roofs that are just dirty. If it isn't leaking, just clean it. Oh, and don't ask a roofing company if it needs to be replaced.

I do a nice job with exterior wood. Below you'll see before, during, and after. A couple of important points;

  • I clean the wood with bleach and a detergent. I don't beat it up with a pressure washer. Don't let anyone use a pressure washer on your deck or fence.
  • I use oil-base stain, applying two layers. This finish will not peal or chip. And you or I can clean it in a couple years and put on a single layer of stain fairly easily. This is my deck. It looked great when I first cleaned and stained it. It looked even better after the maintenance cleaning and single coat. Exterior wood maintenance doesn't get any better than this.

The photo directly below is before. The photo below that is after the first cleaning and staining. The picture on the right is two years and a maintenance coat.

This is an example of how clean a driveway can be.                                                          This is how clean I can get gutters. Regular washing of the gutters won't get them this clean. But it is a tough job.

On the right is another deck I did. The color diminishes quickly depending on how dry the wood is. It will still look great, and the wood will be protected. But subsequent coats really make the wood look rich.

On time, on budget, and exactly as promised.
